A prepared feasibility

Feasibility study prepared for a concrete pond of about 2,000 capacity of high breed catfish(holland breeed clarias gariepinus)
Pond size
Four ponds of 500 capacity each 3m by 2.5m by 1.2m.
The total blocks needed for the construction is five hundred and ten (510) blocks. Each bag of cement should be moulded 30 blocks per bag so that it will be strong. 510/30 = 17 bags of cement needed. Plus (+) four(4) bags needed for plastering and concrete works on the pond floor. 17+4 bags = 21 bags. One trip of sand and half trip of gravel.
The inlet and outlet facilities.
Cost of materials
(1) 21 bags of cement x2000 =42,000 naira.
(2) inlet and outlet facilities 20,000.naira.
(3) sand 1 trip =7,000 naira.
(4) Gravel half trip 15,000 naira.
Cost of fingerlings (fish seed).
For high breed of fingerlings, 30 naira each per fingerlings x 2,000 = 60,000.
Cost of feeding
The total feed needed from stocking stage to maturity stage is 40 bags of feeed. One bag of foreign feed is 5,000. Hence 40 x 5,000 = 200,000.
Treatment
Each month 5,000. Treatment for the six months of culture is 5,000 x 6= 30,000.
If 5percent of mortality rate was recorded and 1,900 survived after six months of culture.
Due to variance in size of the fish after culture, some will be weighing 3.5kg, 2.5kg, 700g, 500g.3.2g and 1.8-5kg. And is assumed that the average weight is 1.5kg. One kg of catfish is sold at 600 naira, 1.5kg will be sold at 900 naira. Therefor 1,900 x 900 = 1.710000 naira.
Total money spent = 388,000 nara.
1.710000 - 388.000 = 1.322000 naira after six months of culture of the latest high breed. For more help call 08032861326.
